What Is Ponni Raw Rice?

Ponni is a rice variety widely used in South Indian cooking. Raw rice describes grain that has been milled without the parboiling stage used for boiled rice; it does not mean that the rice is intended to be eaten uncooked.

Cooked Ponni raw rice can be served plain or cooled and seasoned for variety-rice dishes.

As grain age, cooker type and preferred softness affect the result, the water quantity and cooking time should follow the pack or a trusted household method.

Ponni raw rice is commonly used for everyday meals and seasoned rice preparations. It provides a familiar base for recipes using vegetables, spices, tamarind, coconut and yoghurt.

Why Choose Farmers Gold Ponni Raw Rice 5kg?

Farmers Gold Ponni Raw Rice 5kg is a practical choice if you:

Cook plain rice for everyday meals: Prepare rice for lunch or dinner and serve it with your preferred accompaniments.
